Reports To: Program Director

Hours: 37.5 hours/week – Evening availability required

Location: Scranton, PA (onsite)

FLSA Status: Full time, non-exempt

Summary:

Responsible for the implementation and ongoing development of the evidenced-based Incredible Years program and other parent education groups as deemed appropriate.

Duties:

  • Successful completion of IY parent group leader training.
  • Individual intakes with program participants, including the completion of the IY pre/post-test measure.
  • Planning and preparation for parenting group sessions at Outreach and community locations including maintaining supply levels, photocopying, room set-up, and arranging for meals, transportation assistance, and childcare accommodations for attending parents.
  • Facilitation of group sessions at Outreach and community locations with fidelity to the IY model.
  • Timely completion and filing of weekly group evaluations and participant homework as recommended by the program developer.
  • Weekly parent phone calls for individual follow-up and case management purposes.
  • Completion of the steps necessary for certification by IY program developer.
  • Assists with other parenting services such as the PAST Group, Parent Cafes, etc
  • Prepares and maintains case records, reports and other appropriate documentation; enters client data into agency data system
  • Participates in agency-wide project teams, including the Children's Career Fair, Toyland holiday program and other projects.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Attendance is mandatory

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office software; web-based training and data entry.

Certificates and Licenses: Completion of IY training and ongoing professional development as related to agency/program needs; Completion of IY certification process; Valid PA Driver's License; Must be able to obtain clearances under PA Child Protection laws
