Position Summary

We are looking for enthusiastic and driven Independent Sales Representatives to drive sales in designated market areas. This is a great opportunity for those who need schedule flexibility or want to earn extra income. Responsibilities include educating prospects on our products through calls and face-to-face meetings, developing customer relationships, identifying networking opportunities, and finding new customers through cold-calling, emailing, and social media advertising.

Position Responsibilities

  • Visiting garden centers in the area and persuading prospects to purchase company products by highlighting product benefits and key features.
  • Arranging meetings with potential and existing customers to present company products.
  • Participating in identifying potential customers through networking and following leads.
  • Building and maintaining solid working relationships with both new and existing customers.
  • Promptly submitting purchase orders to the relevant department for processing.
  • Following up with customers to inquire into whether purchased products meet their expectations.

Requirements

  • Proven sales experience selling to multiple accounts
  • Self motivated and the ability to work independently
  • Effective communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Able to implement effective sales strategies to continually meet or exceed sales targets
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to local customers
  • Soil and garden industry knowledge or experience a plus
