We refine the classics, develop the unknown and grow constantly, and beyond our own expectations. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of authentic Indian dishes such as curries, biryanis, tandoori dishes, and appetizers according to the recipes.
- Follow traditional Indian cooking methods and techniques such as roasting, braising, and simmering to create flavorful and aromatic dishes.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, flavor, and presentation.
- Adhere to proper food safety standards, including sanitation, hygiene, and food storage practices.
- Clean and maintain cooking equipment and kitchen areas to meet health and safety regulations.
- Work effectively with other kitchen staff, including prep cooks, dishwashers, and servers, to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Ensure efficient preparation and cooking to meet demand, particularly during peak hours.
- Manage high level food production while maintaining quality and presentation standards.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a cook or chef specializing in Indian cuisine, either in a professional kitchen or restaurant.
- Certificate in culinary arts, or relevant field is preferred.
- Proficiency in cooking a wide range of Indian dishes, including vegetarian, non-vegetarian options, and various traditional Indian cooking methods and spices.
- Strong knowledge of Indian spices, herbs, and flavor profiles, with the ability to create balanced and authentic flavors.
- Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety regulations.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy pots and pans, and handle hot equipment.
- Good communication skills for working in a team and taking directions from supervisors.
- Strong attention to detail, especially when it comes to presentation and taste.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
- Willing to work a flexible schedule (night, weekends, holidays).
