Primary Services is recruiting for this impactful position on behalf of a major organization. In this role, you will lead the development and execution of enterprise-wide category strategies, leverage industry insights, and collaborate with all levels of the organization to drive strategic procurement excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute complex sourcing strategies for assigned commodities and services, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Analyze spend, conduct market research, and utilize cost modeling to drive informed procurement decisions.
- Build cost models and negotiate with suppliers to optimize value and pricing structures.
- Monitor industry trends to identify innovative practices and incorporate them into sourcing strategies.
- Maintain a deep understanding of assigned categories, including specifications, production methods, and company usage requirements.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to define procurement scopes and ensure service level agreements meet business needs.
- Proactively identify opportunities to lower total costs and enhance supply chain stability.
- Oversee supplier performance, ensuring quality, timeliness, and satisfaction of end-user requirements.
- Lead change management activities, provide training, and promote end-user adoption of sourcing strategies.
- Conduct supplier relationship management, focusing on long-term value creation and performance improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.
- Expertise in procurement processes, including contract negotiation, supplier relationship management, and risk assessment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in spend analytics and cost modeling.
- Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in sourcing and supply chain management.
- Proficient in procurement technology and tools, such as ERP systems.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex sourcing projects and achieve strategic goals under tight deadlines.
