Our success is built on the talent and dedication of our expert staff across these vibrant program areas.Working closely with the Chief Development Officer, the Individual Giving Manager will help craft and implement strategies to grow our major gift donors currently generating 20% of our total contributed revenue. In addition, this role will oversee a new Friends of the JCCMW program. Minimum Qualifications:Key Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Manage and execute a comprehensive individual giving program and engagement plans, focusing on identifying, cultivating, and soliciting major donors and prospects.
- Develop, maintain and grow a donor portfolio with a focus on gifts $1,800 and above via our Friends of the JCCMW program. We anticipate this program will substantially increase our individual donor community.
- Oversee the planning and execution of all individual giving campaigns, including direct mail appeals, email campaigns, and online fundraising initiatives.
- Plan and implement an annual fundraising benefit and other special events including patron engagement programs throughout the year currently generating 10% of contributed revenue.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to the Development Assistant to maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all individual donor interactions and giving history in the donor database (CRM), generate regular reports on individual giving metrics, track and analyze donor trends to identify opportunities for growth in individual giving, conduct research to identify and qualify new individual donor prospects, and manage donor communication.
- Collaborate with and provide direct support to CDO, CEO and Board Leadership helping to sustain relationships with major donors and prospectives.
- In partnership with CDO, work closely with program teams to gather stories, data, and program outcomes to share with donors, and to identify prospects and messaging to encourage support and investment by community members.
- Occasional weekend and evening work for scheduled events and meetings will be required.
- All other duties as assigned.
Skills, Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree and minimum of 4-6 years working in non-profit development with a focus on individual giving and donor solicitation.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, including excellent interpersonal, networking, and presentation skills.
- Experience implementing special events and programs.
- Ability to develop and maintain positive and productive relationships with donors, volunteers, Board, and colleagues.
- Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and work with multiple departments and volunteer committees.
- Must possess the highest degree of discretion and confidentiality.
- Occasional weekends and evenings required.

The role requires the ability to write by hand and use a keyboard to perform general office functions. Also requires the ability to communicate by speech and hearing continuously. Visual acuity is needed for detailed work, and computer use.
