We are recruiting for an Individual Support Worker (Personal Aide/Companion) in our Adult Community Support Services Program in Monmouth Junction, NJ. Qualified candidates will identify various available services and develop support systems to meet client needs. There is a significant amount of travel required for this position.
Job Responsibilities of an ISW:
* Encourage healthy habits
* Accompanies clients to doctor's appointments
* Assists with meal preparation
* Light housekeeping
* Assists with running errands
* Local recreational activities
Job Requirements:
* HS diploma or equivalent
* A valid driver's license and must be insurable under NJID's automobile insurance
* Experience supporting individuals with intellectual, developmental, and related disabilities
* Strong communication skills
NO certification required
NJID has full-time, part-time, and per diem opportunities in Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean, and Somerset Counties.
Location: Edison, Monmouth Junction County: Middlesex
Hours Per Work Week: 25 Weekly Work Schedule: M-F 10am-2pm and/or 4pm-8pm; Sat. & Sun. 2pm-7pm
