Summary

The Regional Account Manager (RAM) oversees the procurement and management of ferrous (FE) and non-ferrous (NF) commodities within a designated area or facility. This position involves managing a team of buyers, expanding supplier networks, optimizing material flow, and ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards. The role is integral to driving growth and operational excellence in procurement and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute monthly purchasing strategies
• Manage and train a team of buyers to meet performance goals and expand supplier relationships.
• Oversee the flow of materials, ensuring quality standards and timely delivery to facilities.
• Monitor market trends, competitive pricing, and supplier performance to optimize procurement strategies.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory guidelines for all procurement activities.
• Conduct performance reviews, assign supplier accounts, and resolve supplier-related issues.
• Collaborate with logistics teams to plan and coordinate efficient material transport.
• Communicate market insights and operational updates to leadership and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• 7-10 years of experience in industrial sales, procurement, or a similar field.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills with the ability to manage teams and supplier relationships.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with material processing systems or related tools.
• Familiarity with market analysis and competitive pricing strategies.
• Ability to travel regionally (25%-50%) and work in both office and industrial environments.
• Valid driver's license required.
