Summary:The Industrial Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and maintaining strategic relationships with key industrial prospects/contacts across the U.S. The right individual will cultivate existing relationships, while also possessing the ability to develop leads through various avenues such as: video conferences, cold calls, office visits, networking events, and more. Expectations are that the Industrial Business Development Manager may coordinate the involvement of Company personnel, including support, service, and management of resources to meet growth objectives, promote Great Southern Wood Preserving in the industrial market, actively participate in local professional organizations, has experience estimating and proposal writing all while maintaining accurate tracking of leads and opportunities utilizing the approved method whether it be Word or Excel. The Industrial Business Development Manager is a front-line, customer facing employee pivotal to the long-term success of Great Southern Wood Preserving.Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as a strategic partner to the executive team, providing data-driven insights and recommendations for industrial sales growth within GSWP
- Strong understanding of company products or services as well as business position and competition to keep business competitive
- Lead key sales goals that support of the annual financial goals and drive project replications among the facilities to meet projects economic justification goals.
- Maintain current industrial customers relationships and identifying areas for potential new customers
- Contacting potential customers to establish a business relationship and meet with them on a regular basis
- Develop new opportunities through collaborative work with current sales teams
- Research the latest in the business industry and creating new opportunities to expand business
- Collaborate with sales teams and design team to ensure requirements are met, such as sales numbers and profit goals
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or a similar area
- Seven(7) to ten(10) years of proven sales experience in Industrial lumber business or a related area
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, in order to express technical and nontechnical concepts clearly and concisely
- Technical skills required to create proposals and find solutions to meet client requirements, such as using software programs and machines
- Excellent organizational skills to meet goals and set priorities
- Be proactive, organized and handle work under stressful and uncertain environments
- High energy and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with many stakeholders
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word
