(Applies to full-time direct new hires only)Norco is currently seeking an individual to fill our Combination CDL Route Delivery Driver position. The Combination CDL Route Delivery Driver delivers and exchanges full cylinders and liquid vessels for empty ones and also delivers freight to customers on a weekly route. This position will have a variety of delivery driver responsibilities, mostly making deliveries around town, utilizing a box truck to deliver gas cylinders and hard good products for customers. Responsibilities also include some Class A driving, pulling 28' pups (Doubles) to other Norco branches, in addition to training to deliver Bulk Co2 and Nitrogen to customers.Schedule is Monday through Friday and home every night. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Efficiently organize delivery route on a daily basis
- Delivers liquid and compressed gaseous oxygen to specified points of delivery
- Ability to drive and back manual transmission tractor trailer combination
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or carry objects weighing over 75 lbs
- Knowledge of hauling hazardous material
- Must be 21 years of age
- Supervises the up-keep of delivery vehicles, including interior and exterior cleanliness
- Completes delivery and pick-up paperwork promptly and accurately, returning said paperwork to the appropriate facility personnel
- Loads and unloads freight and accurately fills out truck manifest
- Accurately fills out gas invoices
- Current hazmat or ability to obtain
- Warehouse duties
- Performs other tasks as assigned or necessary
- Pay $22-$28/Hr DOE
Qualifications
- No at fault accidents or DOT violations resulting in suspension within the last 3 years
- Must have minimum Class A CDL
- Must have Hazmat and Tanker endorsements
- Familiar with all DOT and FDA regulations as they pertain to oxygen
- Ability to lift and/or carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs. frequently and occasionally weighing over 100 lbs
- Knowledge of hauling hazardous material
- Ability to work safely around special hazards (i.e. mechanical - operating lift gate, and explosives - haul and work around flammable gas and non-flammable gas)
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time approximately 50% of time
