Job Summary: The Industrial Cleaner at TimberTech plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean and safe manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for performing cleaning duties within the production facility to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities:
Facility Cleaning: - Perform daily cleaning tasks in manufacturing areas, including sweeping and use of the Central Vac System.
- Clean production equipment, machinery, and tools.
- Ensure cleanliness of workspaces
- Dispose of waste and recycling materials properly.
Quality Assurance: - Assist in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness to support product quality and safety.
- Report any issues or irregularities observed during cleaning that may impact product quality or safety.
Safety Compliance: - Follow safety procedures and guidelines while performing cleaning tasks.
- Identify and report safety hazards or potential risks to the Production Supervisor.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Team Collaboration: - Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to schedule cleaning activities without disrupting production schedules.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in industrial cleaning or janitorial roles is preferred.
- Knowledge of safe handling and use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks that may involve lifting, bending, and extended periods of standing.
- Strong commitment to safety practices and protocols.
- Effective communication skills to report issues and collaborate with team members.
Working Conditions:
- The Industrial Cleaner may work in an industrial manufacturing environment that may involve exposure to dust, chemicals, and loud machinery.
