You are not just an employee with us, you are part of the Cornerstone family.Responsibilities:Occupation as an Industrial Combo Welder, under the direction and supervision of designated Field Foreman, General Foremen or Superintendent (s), duties include but are not limited to:Strong understanding of industrial piping and structural steel systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.Install, repair, and maintain industrial piping and structural steelInterpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and materials required for the job.Measure and cut piping to required lengths, using cutting tools and machinesWeld piping and steel, using various techniquesProficient in tig and stick weldingInstall and maintain valves, gauges, and other fittingsInspect and test piping systems for leaks or other defectsTroubleshoot and repair piping systems as necessaryWork with other members of the team to ensure projects are completed on time and within budgetMinimum Skills and ExperienceAbility to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specificationsKnowledge of piping and steel systems, including installation, maintenance, and repairExperience with welding techniques in the fieldAbility to learn new skills with attention to detailLift and/or pull 500 lbs.Climb ladders, work off ladders, man lifts or other equipmentWillingness to work in various locations and conditions, including outdoors and in confined spacesAbility to maintain a standing position for extended periods of time, fully squat, bend or kneel while wearing PPEAbility to work independently or as part of a teamKnowledge of safety procedures and regulationsExperience working in an industrial or manufacturing environmentAdhere to all OSHA, MSHA and CIS, Inc. safety practices and prodedure3sMust be able to pass a 6-G, 2 stainless steel schedule 10 pipe test, an x-heavy 2 carbon steel 6-G pipe test (Section IV) and other miscellaneous tests from (D1.1 and D1.5) as need for specialty workWeld Certification or License and completion of a pipe welder apprenticeship program OR NCCER Certification documentation is helpful but not requiredKnowledge of the proper use of required tools including various welding/torch machines, appropriate welding support toolsAre you ready for a change?
