The Industrial Maintenance and Controls Maintenance Technician provides preventive and corrective maintenance for all production and facility equipment within the Center to ensure or improve production efficiency. This is a multidiscipline technician position.
Starting pay $28 hour DOE
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on pneumatic, hydraulic, motion control and mechanical systems
- HVAC-R experience desired but not required
- Troubleshooting using Allen Bradley MicroLogix, CompactLogix, and ControlLogix PLC interface for diagnostics
- Lead team in troubleshooting and replacement of faulty PLCs
- Assist with installation of new equipment
- Conduct basic electrical and mechanical repairs as assigned
- Assist with facility improvement and basic repairs including floors, walls, and ceilings
- Assist management with scheduling maintenance projects
- Support outside contractors with repairs/maintenance as needed
- Maintain accurate and complete departmental record

- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Solid HVAC-R background and certification is desired, but not required
- 2 years work experience with automation, calibrated tools, electrical and mechanical repairs, and laptop to PLC interfaces
- Strong industrial electrical background desired.
- Sound knowledge of PLC logic, electrical wiring, hydraulics, plumbing, general contracting, welding, basic mechanical ability, etc. desired
- Ability to read and/or understand written and/or verbal policy, instruction and direction in English required
- Skilled Windows based computer systems preferred
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical blueprints preferred
- Must be able to safely operate a forklift and aerial lift
- Technician's scheduled is desired Sun-Wed 4:00 am-2:30 pm with a possibility of a rotating Mon-Thurs, Mon-Thurs and Mon-Wed + Sun, with a start time of 4:00 am
- Occasional overtime for projects on off days or for vacation coverage; miscellaneous overtime to support daily production run(minimal)
