For more information, check out our comprehensive list on our website: Summary/Objective:The Controls Technician for Building Management Systems Industrial Electrical systems will be responsible for completing service calls in addition to working on larger projects under the direction of a project manager or controls engineer.Essential Functions:Install DDC (Direct Digital Control) controllersPerform Electrical Controls Duties in an Industrial settingRead & review control specifications and diagramsAssist with wiring and installation of unit accessoriesPerform other duties as assignedSupervisory Responsibility: NoRequired:3+ years of experience in the controls field; or equivalent combination of vocational training and experienceControls Technician, Instrumentation Technician, Electronics Technician, or similar diploma obtained from an accredited educational institution or equivalent requirements as established by Saskatchewan Applied Science Technologists and Technicians (SASTT)Must be proficient in Microsoft Office SuiteMust be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail, and demonstrate problem-solving skillsMust be able to pass post-offer pre-employment drug screen and may be required to satisfactorily complete additional background checks as required (i.e. DMV, criminal history)Must adhere to all company policies and proceduresMust be available and have the means to report to multiple job sites as assignedWork Environment:May work in varying temperatures; both inside and outside, including inclement weather, heat, humidity, cold, and dampnessMay work in areas with exposure to moderate/high noise levelsMay be exposed to fumes or airborne particles including dustMay be required to work in confined spaces or from high heightsPhysical Demands:This role routinely uses construction equipment such as heavy machinery, hand and power toolsWhile performing duties of the job, the employee may work aloft, climb, bend, pull, reach overhead, stand/walk for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and armsMust be able to correctly identify all colors of coded cable/wires and see close vision, distance vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focusTravel:May require travelPreferred Qualifications:Prior military experiencePrevious experience with Alerton controlsPrevious experience with DDC, PLC, or similar Ladder-Logic programmingPrevious experience with Microsoft VisioVisit us at for more information!#J-18808-Ljbffr
