JOB DESCRIPTION
This position reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and is responsible for ensuring a clean, safe, and organized working environment in an industrial facility. This position involves routine cleaning tasks, equipment maintenance, and adhering to the safety standards specific to an industrial setting.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Sweep, mop, and scrub floors in office spaces and production areas.
Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms and other common areas.
Dust and wipe down surfaces, machinery, and equipment.
Clean the entrances and exits of the work areas by keeping them free of garbage, and debris.
Routinely empty waste baskets and garbage cans in designated areas.
Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces as required.
Perform and/or report all minor maintenance repairs.
Operate cleaning machines such as floor scrubbers, pressure washers, and industrial sweepers.
Restock cleaning and restroom supplies as needed
Ensure walkways, emergency exits, and fire escapes are clear of debris and obstructions.
Support staff with special projects or additional cleaning duties as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Experience in industrial or commercial cleaning is a plus.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Physical ability to work in awkward positions such as kneeling, bending, stooping, crawling and overhead positions.
Must be able to read, understand, and follow labels/instructions for proper use of cleaning products and supplies.
Able to handle a high volume of work with little supervision.
Must have excellent interpersonal/communication skills.
Team player with good attitude and strong work ethic; must be dependable, with excellent attendance.
