Industrial Electric Division - Journeyman Electrician (Rochester, NY)Job Title: Journeyman ElectricianReports to: Project ManagerCompensation: $30-$45/hr plus prevailing wage opportunitiesPOSITION OVERVIEW:The Journeyman Electrician will contribute expertise to commercial/industrial and utility projects.REQUIREMENTS:Adequate physical ability.Mechanical skills.Project layout skills.Conduit bending (both power and hand bending).Conduit threading (both power and hand threading).Experience in building services.Layout of underground services.THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:Demonstrates the ability to think ahead, plan within timelines and resources, develop scopes, plan and schedule work, set priorities and goals, participate in problem-solving, and adjust for problems.Successfully plans and implements objectives within established guidelines.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Strong team player.WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:Work involves almost constant exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, toxic chemicals, biohazardous materials, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and/or loud noises.Considerable physical activity, requiring heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects up to 50 pounds.No fear of heights.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to lift and move heavy parts and equipment (up to 50 pounds or more).Stamina to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for precise tasks.Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods.Good vision, including close-up and peripheral vision, for detailed inspections.Hearing ability to diagnose engine and equipment noises.BENEFITS:Paid Time Off.401K.Paid Training.Profit Sharing.ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Any offer of employment is contingent upon passing a DOT Physical, drug screen, background check, and driver's license check.
