Industrial Electrician

The role of the Electrician is to perform PM work orders, troubleshoot and repair various mill equipment, repair and modify electrical controls, including electronic drive units, PLCs, and HMIs. The candidate will also provide electrical support to the mechanical and production teams and assist with various projects.They are looking for someone who fits into their culture, someone with a strong commitment to safety in all job aspects and a positive attitude, who is goal oriented and interested in self-improvement. You must also show you can work in a team environment and have excellent communication and organizational skills.Technically they need someone with an understanding of electrical theory (Ohm's and Kirchoff's Laws) and practice, automation control, and experience or the ability to learn to perform routine and corrective maintenance on high, medium, and low voltage electrical equipment, including:- AC Motors and Drives- DC Motors and Drives,- Power Distribution,- Control Systems- Wiring and PLCs (will teach PLCs)- Overhead Cranes- Have strong troubleshooting skills- Have excellent computer skillsMechanical aptitude or any hydraulic and pneumatic system knowledge is a bonus. This is a rotating shift position that is 4 days on 4 days off, 4 nights on, 4 nights off.Base salary, plus a great benefits package.
