Industrial Engineering & Continuous Improvement ManagerPosition overview:The Continuous Improvement Manager will report directly to the Director of Industrial Engineering & Continuous Improvement. This role is pivotal in supporting the development and execution of continuous improvement strategies across the Kalitta Air, LLC organization. The Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement Lean methodologies, facilitate training sessions, and drive process enhancements that align with the company's strategic goals. This position demands a proactive approach to problem solving and the ability to inspire and engage employees at all levels.Key Responsibilities:Continuous Improvement Strategy Development:Collaborate with the Director and management team to refine and execute the continuous improvement strategy, including the rollout of Lean Standard workAssist in the development and implementation of business improvement initiatives that support operational excellence and strategic objectivesTraining and Change Management:Act as a change management advocate, providing training and mentorship on Lean and Continuous Improvement principles and practices to team members across the organizationFacilitate workshops and Kaizen events to promote a culture of continuous improvement and engage employees in the improvement processProject Management & Analysis:Support project management activities by tracking project progress, assessing risks, and ensuring alignment with budgets and timelinesConduct business process analyses and statistical evaluations to identify areas for improvement and support decision-makingPerformance Monitoring:Assist in the establishment and monitoring of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success of continuous improvement initiativesPrepare written reports and presentations for management, detailing project outcomes, progress, and recommendations Relationship Building:Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure buy-in and collaboration on continuous improvement effortsEngage with external partners and vendors as necessary to enhance process efficiencies and share best practicesHealth, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: Ensure all improvement initiatives align with health, safety, and environmental policies, promoting a safe workplace for all employeesParticipate in risk assessments and root cause analyses to address operational challengesPeople Management:Support the Director in setting departmental objectives and KPIsAssist in coaching and mentoring team members, promoting a culture of engagement and empowermentMonitor team performance, providing feedback and recognition to encourage continuous growth and developmentQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field or equivalent, relevant, practical experience preferredCertification as a Six Sigma and or Lean Black Belt or equivalent is highly desirableProven experience in a maintenance, repair, and overhaul environment (3rd part or captive airline) with a focus on operations and continuous improvementStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholderExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple prioritiesProficient in problem-solving, data analysis, and project management methodologies
