Position Summary- The Industrial Engineer role is responsible for providing professional services across the assigned location across 4 areas:(1) Distribution center designs including CAD drawings,(2) Strategic solutions that improve productivity using time measurements,(3) Manage the strategic development of all Labor Management programs including incentive plans and(4) Support Business Case Development that requires labor inputs and productivity validations.'This role will play a critical role in developing a prioritized roadmap of productivity improvements based on activity-based costing analysis and benchmarking for the campus. 'Provide expertise for improvement initiatives that align to specific organizational KPI targets; play an integral role in the campus to achieve/exceed key metrics by analyzing operational metrics, observing process execution, and conducting business process assessments in functional areas across supply chain distribution.Principal Duties & Responsibilities-•Develop and maintain CAD facility drawings (interior and exterior) for complex, multi-building campuses, translating the business requirements to support distribution and transportation needs.•Leverage analysis to make recommendations to the campus leader to align core processes with overall campus design, including MHE requirements (racks, forklifts, totes, etc.).•Develop and maintain labor standards utilizing the MOST predetermined time methodology. Provide training and education on MOST methodology.•Continuous review of labor model to find areas for simplification, including the updates to operational strategies (e.g. scheduling), processes, supplies and seasonal/weather related factors.•Act as the industrial engineering liaison to key business stakeholders supporting business case development and validations. Establish and maintain connectivity with key external partners (ie. Industry groups).•Perform research in support of key operations management decisions related to process and service level management. Expert in workflow management and analysis of labor standards to ensure requirements are accounted for within the standards.•Facilitate engineering requirements and permits for site plans (e.g. electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, fire protection, HVAC, etc.).•Review and optimize incentive plans for Operations leadership and Finance to validate Incentive Plan structure and performance validation (e.g. adjusting baselines, incentive plan structure, etc.)Knowledge •Certified on a powered industrial equipment where applicable •Seasoned knowledge of distribution shipping practices.Skills & Abilities •Minimum 5+ years' experience implementation and/or management of Engineered Labor Standards preferred•Demonstrate strong skills in engineered time studies•Advances skills in Microsoft Access and MS Excel•Strong root-cause analysis skills•Exceptional attention to detail•Good organizational, planning, influence, communication, and presentation skills•Effective analytical and problem-solving skills, and implementing solutions•Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in fast-paced environment•Ability to communicate and complete required record keeping functions•Must be able to work needed schedule to perform assigned duties•Ability to work in a -5 degree to 90+ degree Fahrenheit environment (temperature varies within each department) for long periods of time•Ability to read and understand written and numeric product identifiers•Able to distill KPI and analysis into actionable recommendations, guidance, and conclusions•Position requires occasional travel to other campuses for research or specific initiatives•Ability to influence without authority - self-motivated and persuasive in presenting and selling ideas and executing their implementation Education -•Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field is required•Master's Degree preferredExperience •Minimum 5+ years' experience implementation and/or management of Engineered Labor Standards preferred.
