Job Title: Industrial Engineer-Materials Department
We are looking for an experienced Material Industrial Engineer that will be responsible for
strategy, investment planning, design, and execution of warehouse compression projects, and material flow improvements. Primary focus will be to optimize material processes and material automation, labor, storage, & flow utilizing client systems and strategies including the Global Material Optimization System (GMOS), Lean Material Strategies (LMS), and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). Key deliverables will be to develop and execute all phases of material planning to create the most efficient, leanest designs.
Identify and eliminate waste in entire value chain that includes material flow, material routings & mobile equipment, layout development, container development, storage space, kitting & sequence planning , small lot strategy, etc.

Optimize floor space, materials personnel, and equipment.
· Improve route planning, dock strategies, and material flow.
Develop layout and processes that reduce cost and achieve operational efficiencies.
· Provide technical support and issue resolution assistance to the plant materials team.
· Analyze existing operations and propose continuous improvements (CI)
Work Environment
The work environment requires onsite presence every day in Flint, MI. The role involves working closely with various teams to optimize production processes, using advanced industrial engineering tools and standards. The facility is equipped with the necessary technologies to support efficient workflow and production optimization
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $44.00
