- Enhance production efficiency by developing, evaluating, and improving manufacturing processes.
- Use Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma techniques to reduce waste and improve productivity.
- Identify bottlenecks, improve throughput, and reduce cycle times using data-driven insights.
- Create efficient layouts for equipment and material flow, ensuring safety and ergonomics.
- Collaborate with quality teams to meet AS9100 and ISO standards, addressing non-conformances with corrective actions.
- Manage engineering projects related to tooling, process optimization, and layout changes.
- Partner with machinist and CNC programmers to develop tooling and fixtures that reduce setup times and improve operations.
What will make you successful:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in a CNC machine shop, preferably in the aerospace or defense industry.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma methodologies, and process improvement strategies.
- Familiarity with CNC machining processes, tooling, and fixture design.
- Proficiency in CAD (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and data analysis tools (e.g., Minitab).
- Understanding of quality standards such as AS9100 and ISO 9001.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
