The Industrial Engineer at Frazer reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor, and is responsible for providing technical leadership to the production, service, and quality teams. This position is responsible for manufacturing engineering standards and methods, continuous improvement projects, cost-saving analysis & initiatives, staffing analysis, and operations planning with a focus on improving safety, quality, delivery, and cost. This position will serve as the Project Manager in implementing the organization's Lean strategy.What Does a Week in the Life of the Industrial Engineer Look Like?
Serve as the primary project manager for Lean optimization initiatives working with outside consultants and internal teams to reduce time in system and improve labor productivity.Develop and execute manufacturing process plans for emergency vehicle manufacturing and continuously improve processes and procedures using tools and methods such as statistical process control (SPC) and experiments. Analyze workforce utilization, facility layout, and operation data, such as production costs, production flow charts, and production schedules to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment.Support the Production department by providing input to help determine workforce requirements to support all current operations, expansions, and new product introductions.Partner with the Purchasing team when new raw material is introduced to our current process to ensure finished products' quality metrics are sustained.Improve manufacturing processes to support key quality metrics. Complete work improvement projects promptly by guiding operators and supervisors.Document and maintain operations guidelines, including policies, procedures, and work instructionsPerform other related duties and responsibilities as required.Essential duties listed above are performed while encouraging a Safety First atmosphere and supporting safety initiatives at our Facility.Secondary Duties:
Operational responsibility in the event of an emergency evacuation.Participate in daily staff meetings Conduct Layered Process AuditsRequired Education and Experience:
- Masters in Industrial Engineering
- At least 60 months of prior work experience in Industrial Engineering.
- Must have at least 5 years experience documenting and improving process flows and production efficiency in manufacturing.
- Must have at least 5 years experience reading and understanding blueprints for fabrication and machining and assembly drawings.
- Must have at least 5 years experience with process mapping, Lean, Six Sigma, and 6S Methodology.

Frazer offers competitive pay and this role will start with a salary between $100,500.00 - $105,000.00 annually depending on education, certifications, and experience.Work Schedule The Industrial Engineer will work onsite Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
