Job Overview:

We are seeking an Industrial Engineer to join our team in Houston, Texas. This role will be integral to the relocation of a key product line from overseas to the United States. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing value stream maps, designing process layouts, and ensuring efficient production workflows for the new production line. This is an exciting opportunity to work hands-on in the manufacturing industry, contributing to a high-impact project with long-term growth potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and document value stream maps for the production line to identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Design and implement efficient process layouts to support the seamless transition of production activities to the U.S. facility.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and supply chain, to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Conduct time studies, workflow analyses, and capacity planning to support production readiness.
  • Assist with troubleshooting, process improvement initiatives, and the implementation of lean manufacturing principles.
  • Create detailed documentation and reports to communicate progress and recommendations to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Experience: Relevant internships or up to 1 year of applicable working experience in manufacturing, process engineering, or production environments.
  • Strong skills in value stream mapping, process layout design, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Proficient in industrial engineering tools/software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to collaborate effectively across teams.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must currently reside in the Houston, Texas area or be willing to relocate to Houston within 4 weeks of receiving an offer (relocation assistance is not provided).
  • Ability to work on-site Monday through Friday.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.
