  • Oversees fixture & tooling designs requested by manufacturing and for new product
  • Ensures compliance with health and safety laws, regulations, and guidelines, including EPA and OSHA requirements
  • Support the manufacturing floor by fulfilling their requests and aiding in process improvement
  • Oversees program and setup on various CNC machines including Turning Centers, Horizontal Machining Centers, CNC Milling Centers
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the department
Competencies -
  • Overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of manufacturing bills of material, manufacturing routings, fixtures, tooling, and all associated standards
  • Collaborates with manufacturing and engineering departments to ensure manufacturability of designs
  • Accountable for bills of material and routing accuracy in the ERP system for both new and existing parts
  • Accountable for setting routing standards
  • Collaborate with production planning to optimize production sequencing
  • Develop templates for manufacturability where needed
  • Maintains knowledge of best practices in manufacturing methods as well as trends and developments in technology and equipment
  • Identifies and assesses various problems and departures from established manufacturing standards and best practices
  • Researches and recommends solutions
  • Implements methods and modifications to reduce production time and costs
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications -
  • High school diploma required; Associate's or college coursework preferred
  • Minimum 5 years Industrial Engineering experience
  • Diverse knowledge requirements include machining, assembly, product structure, manufacturing process development, and technical design
  • Experience in managerial position including direct supervision
