**Description:**
You will be an Industrial Engineer with our team in Archbald, PA. Lockheed Martin's Archbald facility specializes in design, manufacturing, and engineering for both domestic and international customers. It produces electronic assemblies, machined and welded assemblies/parts, and safety-critical systems for various defense and commercial applications. The site is renowned for its awards and contributions to missile systems, nuclear instrumentation, and control products.
**What You Will Be Doing**
You may support the Assembly and/or Fabrication areas depending on the assignment. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Design manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout. Adapt machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions. Inspect performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify efficiency, and investigate and initiate corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality. Provide guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques. May be responsible for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through production and release. Use SAP, lean six sigma concepts, and other tools to analyze and design sequence of operations and work flow to improve efficiencies in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts; and establish methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel. May establish/assist in establishing accident prevention measures and may manage training programs for personnel concerning all phases of production operations. Conduct studies and implement plans pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems. May assist facilities engineers in the planning and design of facilities. May use tools such as simulation modeling, 2D/3D modeling, and other business process applications to investigate issues, gather data, and present solutions to teams and leaders within the organization. Develop, inspect, mine, transform, and model data to improve productivity, decision making, and gain competitive advantage in an engineering setting. May work with technical developers and data scientists to define changes to existing applications and/or new applications needed to achieve desired results.

**Basic Qualifications:**
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience; or no experience required with a related Masters degree. Considered experienced, but still a learner.
Ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
**Desired Skills:**
Previous experience in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering tasks; including internship and/or project teams experience.
Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office products (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
Excellent written and oral communication/interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a collaborative environment or independently to solve problems in a timely manner.
Ability to read & interpret drawing requirements to develop work instructions.
Familiarity with lean/six-sigma manufacturing methods and techniques.
Ability to track and manage cost, quality, and schedule in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to plan, coordinate, and set up production work cells and facility layout changes.
Ability to define problems, collect/analyze data and make the necessary improvements to achieve desired performance.
Excellent root cause and corrective action analysis skills for resolving issues.
Green Belt or Black Belt trained/certifications in lean/six-sigma to drive continuous improvement.
Fabrication/machine shop experience.
Tooling and fixture design including modeling & 3D printing.
Use of configuration management tools and MRP/ERP production system (i.e. SAP, Windchill, APRISO).
Use of simulation modeling to analyze and improve production process flow.
Use of 2D and 3D modeling programs such as Auto-CAD and CREO.
Database/application creation experience.
Ability to learn and program a variety of production support equipment.

**Ability to Work Remotely:** Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
**Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
**Schedule for this Position:** 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
