Job Description:
LYNCHBURG, VA and surrounding areasWerres Corporation Industrial Equipment Mechanics work at customer sites in a shop environment. Troubleshoot electro-mechanical problems, installations, and performing unscheduled repairs and scheduled maintenance on industrial equipment. Excellent customer service working in a team environment.Skills, personal characteristics:
  • Mechanical / electrical aptitude
  • Effectively use volt, ohm and multimeters, operate personal hand tools, grinders, pressers, forklift, hoists, overhead cranes
  • Read and interpret schematics and manuals
  • Customer focused with good communication skills to provide professional, complete equipment service
  • Work independently as well as a team member
  • Sense of urgency with commitment to success
  • Working knowledge of personal computers, familiarity with cell phone, internet and email functions. Must be able to enter data accurately.
  • Good driving record
Responsibilities:
  • Analyze customer equipment breakdowns
  • Recommend corrective action
  • Major repairs and overhaul industrial forklift equipment
  • Perform scheduled maintenance on forklift / industrial equipment
  • Provide superior customer service
Training:Raymond Certified Technician training provided. Basic, Level 1, Level 2, and Master CertifiedBenefits:Mechanic dispatched remotely from home territory and compensated for hours worked.
