Metal fabricators are responsible for the production of high-quality metal products based on designs provided by internal or external engineering teams. Key responsibilities include fabricating a variety of metal structures, accurately interpreting blueprints, and conducting quality control inspections on completed products.This role demands the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and requires the ability to read blueprints. A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required, along with relevant shop fabrication experience. Proficiency in Stick Welding and Plasma Arc cutting is also essential. Experience requirements may vary based on the level of the position.Essential Duties & Responsibilities* Responsible for fabricating various types of steel structures, components, and equipment.* Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches, drawings and specifications generated by EMR or customer needs.* Performs quality control checks on finished products while adhering to company's safety standards.* Responsible for pre-job setup and post-job cleanup of workstation daily.* Maintains all tools necessary to complete tasks and reports when damages occur.* Other job duties as assigned.Required Skills / Abilities* Ability to work in a fast paced environment.* Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.* Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment* Creative problem solving skills, and the ability to resolve issues and provide solutions.* Ability to interpret blueprint drawings.* Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.Education & Experience* High school diploma or GED-equivalent.* SMAW and MIG testing required for certification.* Shop fabrication experience required.* Oxy/Acetylene, and Plasma Arc experience required.Other Job DemandsWork is generally performed outdoors in all-weather elements such as hot, cold, rain, or snow and personal protective equipment is required. Working hours may vary and evening or weekend work may be required. You may be required to lift and carry weight up to fifty pounds.
