You will work both indoors and outdoors at various facilities, handling service calls, diagnosing issues, and developing repair plans. Your duties will also include ordering parts, ensuring your work vehicle is well-stocked, documenting daily activities, and maintaining maintenance schedules and EPA Logs.Responsibilities:
- Perform HVAC installation, service, maintenance, and controls in industrial settings.
- Familiarity with electric controls, VVT, DDC, and programmable thermostat controls of HVAC equipment.
- Knowledge of various HVAC equipment types, including window units, package units, air handling units, and some commercial refrigeration.
- Efficiently order and pick up necessary parts and maintain truck supplies.
- Document daily activities and installed equipment.
- Track maintenance schedules and EPA Logs.
- Work safely with proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Operate lifts and ladders as needed.
- Diagnosed diverse service issues.
- Calibrated systems to manufacturer recommendations.
- Explain to customers service evaluations, diagnoses, and solutions.
Qualifications:
- 8-10 years of experience in the commercial/industrial HVAC field.
- Minimum Class Three Freon License for certification to perform Freon recovery.
- EPA Card (for handling refrigerants).
- Texas Registration.
- Working knowledge of electric controls, VVT (Variable Volume and Temperature), DDC (Direct Digital Control), and programmable thermostat controls of HVAC equipment.
- Must have a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in the HVAC trade.
- Valid TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) card and completion of required safety classes.
- Ability to pass a background check and a 10-panel urine and hair follicle test.
- Experience using an iPad for Service Software (FieldEase Preferred).
- Must have your own hand tools, drills, gauges, pumps, and some specialized equipment.
- Responsible for company tools.
- OSHA-10 or OSHA-30 certification is preferred.
- Lift certification preferred.
- Preferred Experience in refrigeration, electric motors, heating units, hermetic compressors, light commercial furnaces, boilers, burners intake and exhaust fans, economizers, humidifiers, low-temperature applications, ice machine experience, and controls knowledge.
- Understanding of different types of commercial and industrial roofing.
