Our environmental division includes consulting, remediation, radiological, and IH service lines. We currently have 8 offices throughout the United States including California, Ohio, Tennessee, and Pennsylvania with additional personnel working in Japan, Kenya, and Germany.   • BA or BS Degree in Environmental Science or Engineering, or a related field; and a Master's Degree is preferred.
  • 10-15 years of IH and safety consulting with demonstrated business development. capabilities and history of repeat business and client satisfaction.
  • IH and/or safety experience in DC Metro Area.
  • Professional accreditation preferred (e.g., Certified Industrial Hygienist [CIH], Certified Safety Professional [CSP] or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager [CHMM]).
  • Proven leadership in project, staff, and business management.
  • Ability to mentor and train staff (will oversee a team of 10)
  • Excellent technical communication, teamwork, business development, and staff management skills.
  • Deep understanding of safe work practices.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Team-centric and energetic individual that is motivated to grow the current $2.0M business line, by leveraging existing contracts and clients to expand services and expanding client base.
  • Possessing knowledge of DC, MD, and VA IH markets including Federal, State, and local government entities as well as private clients for growing business.
  • Growing IH work force and fostering existing talent.
  • Fostering a team culture within the IH Service Line, working closely with other division managers to leverage work across divisional marketing efforts.
  • Establishing partnerships with regional IH firms and individuals to creatively staff projects and to win opportunities set-aside for small and economically-disadvantaged businesses.
  • Providing IH Service Line leadership, oversight, and management of personnel, salaries, reviews, divisional budgets, expenses, and goals for revenue and profit.
  • Leading and managing a diverse portfolio of IH and safety projects.
  • Preparing and reviewing responsive proposals and technical reports.
  • Building and nurturing strong, long-lasting client relationships.
  • Advancing career and enhancing team capabilities through ongoing education, maintaining current licenses and certifications, and obtaining additional relevant certifications.
IH Service Line has been a key component of the business since the beginning, providing lead, asbestos and mold assessments; hazardous material surveys; abatement monitoring; indoor air quality testing; drinking water surveys; worker exposure assessments; Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Pre-Occupancy testing; and compliance audits for a variety of clients. Key IH Service Line clients include U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, local agencies including Baltimore, Prince George's, Ann Arundel, Howard counties, City Government, Educational Institutions, and Private Clients (construction firms and architectural firms).
