The Industrial Maintenance Electrician's primary focus is to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in our manufacturing facilities. They also troubleshoot, inspect, and test electrical systems for safety and efficiency, in addition to other responsibilities.
Duties of the Industrial Maintenance Electrician:
- Troubleshoots and modifies 480V 3 phase motor control circuits in industrial machines and systems
- The Industrial Electrician is responsible for installing and repairing all electrical devices of the plant.
- Changes all size motors from fractional to 500 H.P.
- Troubleshoots PLC systems (preferably AB & Siemens software)
- Installs control systems for rebuilds or new systems
- Troubleshoots and installing VFD and motor controls
- Electrician disassembles defective electrical equipment, replaces defective or worn parts, and reassembles equipment
- Performs other duties assigned from management.
Requirements of the Industrial Maintenance Electrician:
- 2+ years of Industrial Electrician experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings
- Ability to work with 24V - 480V 3 phase systems
- Experience working with and troubleshooting relay logic
- Proficiency using electrical test instruments
- Ability to wire electrical panels from schematics
- Demonstrates basic mathematical aptitude, skills in basic mathematical calculations, decimals and fractions
- Understands quality, PPE requirements and safety and the importance of complying with safety policies and procedures
- Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) experience or training
- Human/Machine interface (HMI) experience or training
- Servo motor experience or training
