The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic is a key role within our operations team and provides an excellent opportunity to join a high performing, growing and forward-thinking manufacturing organization in the defense and aerospace industry. Therefore, we are seeking a highly technical industrial mechanic with solid working experience that covers all building systems and who brings experience to the table from a similar organization. - Strive towards a culture of proactive safety.
- Troubleshoot equipment down situations in the factory and diagnoses complex equipment failures including mechanical, electronic, and hydraulic systems.
- By leveraging our PM program, support a pro-active well-organized maintenance department that reacts quickly and contributes to positive plant operation metrics.
- Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics.
- Maintain & repair large scale industrial equipment.
- Performs troubleshooting and repair of systems and components, as required.
- Maintains accurate records, as required.
- Perform detailed equipment inspections and preventative maintenance following OEM specifications.
- Interact with production operators and technical staff to fully understand equipment failures and identify root cause.
- Review failure trends to identify and implement long term improvements for process.
- Develop process adjustments when required to aid production.
- Work with operators to perform routine preventive maintenance tasks.
- Works closely with other members of maintenance team on other various mechanically related facility breakdowns as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 10 + years' experience in a complex maintenance role in a fast-paced modern production environment supporting various large scale production equipment.
- Proven working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical systems, PLCs/Computer Hardware Control.
- Working experience with CNC equipment.
- Solid experience leveraging a Preventative Maintenance program.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude - strong ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics.
- Ability to multitask and troubleshoot equipment breakdown in a fast-paced environment.
- In depth knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
- Complies with all safety guidelines and follows safety protocols in all day-to-day activities.
- Proven problem - solving skills and ability to communicate with multiple levels of an organization.
