- Perform sheet metal repairs, modifications, and installations.
- Perform preventive maintenance work on plant, lab, office and maintenance equipment.
- Perform minor building maintenance work with minimum assistance.
- Complete carpentry, plumbing, welding, painting, and construction projects with assistance only on the more complex problems. Assist Electrician when required.
- Read and interpret all routine blueprints, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Weld most projects without assistance.
- Check safety equipment per schedule.
- Assist in cleaning and yard work.
- Assist with scheduling, processing work requests and purchasing.
- Assume responsibility for work in absence of supervisor.
- Assist in training new employees in all phases of work.
- Confined Space Entry.
Qualifications- Ability to work in a non-air-conditioned environment with exposure to extreme temperature variations and excessive noise levels.
- Three to five years experience preferred.
- Ability to stand over for an extended period and move over, under and around production equipment.
- PLC experience is a plus.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 60 pounds.
- Must have strong troubleshooting skills.
