Job Description:
12th September, 2024 Our client in Buffalo, NY is looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join their growing team! This is a full time, on site, direct hire position. Pay: $30-$40/hr DOE This position requires experience with hands-on preventative and corrective/preventative maintenance of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric systems. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform both scheduled preventative maintenance and emergency repairs on all production and support equipment as needed to ensure their operation is safe and in proper operating condition.
  • Diagnose issues, disassemble machines and equipment, and replace or repair parts as required.
  • Coordinate schedules with machine operators and lead personnel to perform equipment maintenance, minimizing production downtime
  • Assist with identifying, developing, and executing preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain records including preventative maintenance logs, inventory of machine parts, tools, maintenance supplies.
  • Participate with peers and supervisors in addressing problem areas, implementing of corrective and preventive actions, planning methods, and operating procedures.
  • Source parts and procedures on computers or manuals as needed. Place purchase order requisitions when required.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for themselves and others.
  • Assists with the installation and set-up of new equipment
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of solid machine repair and industrial electrical experience in an industrial manufacturing setting
  • In-depth knowledge of industrial mechanical, electrical, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose machine and process problems.
  • Computer skills required.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and multi-tasking skills
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations.
  • Provide and maintain own set of hand tools for personal use on the job.
  • Experience and familiarity with hydraulic punch presses, brakes and light fabrication, and PLC systems is preferred.
  • Ability to lift approximately 50 pounds. The majority of the workday must stand and walk, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crawl.
