The Industrial Maintenance Technician inspects and performs repairs, preventive maintenance, adjustments, and rebuilding of plant machinery and equipment. Perform all tasks with safety and quality in mind and in accordance with established procedures and process instructions. Work with manufacturer's representatives and technicians to effect repairs beyond the capability of the plant. Train lower-skilled maintenance repairers. Complete minor electrical maintenance, such as replacing fuses, motors, and switches. Perform cutting, welding, fabrication, rigging, and motor, drive, and belt alignment. Maintain written records or make entries to maintenance information systems, as necessary. Read and interpret blueprints, machine drawings, and parts diagrams. Apply understanding of basic hydraulics, pneumatics, motor generator principles, motor control theory, motor drive, and coupling alignment. Connect with supervisor, operations management, plant engineering, etc. regarding major repairs and repetitive problems.
