- One (1) year of industrial or military maintenance experience OR a 2-year technical degree in Maintenance Mechanics or an Engineering degree.
- Experience with industrial maintenance practices and policies.
JOB SUMMARY: Collaborate with a high-performing team to ensure the timely completion of all maintenance tasks, optimizing equipment functionality and minimizing downtime. Partner with an engaged operations team to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues effectively. Prioritize safety and quality in daily operations by maintaining a secure work environment, upholding the integrity and functionality of all equipment, and ensuring the highest standards in repair quality. The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for:
- Safely and efficiently fulfilling assigned tasks given by the Maintenance Foreman.
- Develop new skills with the support of experienced and engaged leaders.
- Installing and repairing mechanical drives, chains, sprockets, gears, belts, and couplings.
- Reading mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
- Accurately using measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, tachometers, and dial indicators.
- Welding on as-needed basis.
- Effectively and efficiently complete work orders.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Performing general housekeeping of your assigned area daily.
- Reporting any issues to the Maintenance Foreman promptly.
- Work rotating shifts, overtime required but subject to change, weekends and holidays as needed.
- Working around dust, oil, grease, chemicals, and other substances.
SAFETY
- A Mechanic's position is a safety-sensitive position due to routine close proximity to moving and automatic equipment as well as mobile equipment.
- Operate in a safe manner, following all plant and departmental safety rules and procedures at all times.
OPERATIONS
