We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for routine and preventive maintenance on production equipment, along with installation, repair, and building maintenance tasks. This role requires a hands-on approach to equipment fabrication, electrical work, and multi-functional maintenance responsibilities within a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on production equipment to ensure minimal downtime.
- Install, repair, and maintain machinery, electrical wiring, electronic components, plumbing, and pipe systems.
- Conduct building maintenance and fabrication of equipment and functional parts as needed.
- Maintain the tool room and manage parts inventory for efficiency and availability.
- Conduct routine maintenance on tow motors and other facility machinery.
- Utilize various tools and techniques, such as oxy-acetate torches and MIG welders, for metal fabrication.
- Assemble, install, and repair mechanical and electrical systems, including pumps, motors, and control systems.
- Work with a variety of voltage systems (110v, 240v, 480v) in both single and three-phase formats, as well as PLCs in a process-driven environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance.
- Proficiency in basic safety protocols and use of power tools.
- Strong mathematical skills and electrical aptitude, particularly with control systems and PLCs.
- Familiarity with various voltage systems, pumps, motors, and equipment maintenance (pneumatics and hydraulics).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and measurements using tools like micrometers, calipers, and tape measures.
- Capable of fabricating metal parts and performing tasks such as welding, pipe fitting, and carpentry.
- Physically able to lift up to 75 lbs, operate forklifts, and handle moderate physical exertion.
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work well in a team and coordinate effectively.
- Experience in handling, coating, or slitting processes, as well as forklift certification, are a plus.
- Basic computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
- High school diploma or GED is required; certifications in electrical or machinery maintenance are preferred.
