Pay & Hours:Level One employee pay starts at $30.01 an hour.Additional $1.25 per hour shift differential offered. All employees eligible for up to 7% quarterly bonus pay. 2nd Shift schedule is Monday - Friday from 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm with possible overtime.Benefits:Platinum level health insurance rating with low premiums, deductibles and out of pocket maximumsQuarterly bonus potentialPaid life insurance401(k) retirement plan with up to 5% company matchGenerous paid time off Ability to earn pay increases through Pay-for-Skills Program Paid paternity & maternity leave programsWellness programs, service awards and company eventsAn excellent working environment & opportunity to make a differenceWhat the Technician is Responsible for:This is a partial description of essential functions intended to give the candidate a general idea of the work performed.This position is responsible for supporting production by bringing equipment to base condition through a variety of Industrial Maintenance functions.The technician will also interpret blueprints, fabricate meal, perform plumbing, pneumatic and millwright activities and display an understanding of motors and drives.This position is responsible for collaborating with production staff to enhance the reliability of production equipment, and completion of repair tasks in a manner that minimizes reactive downtime. Duties will also include problem solving and troubleshooting, operating computerized systems, maintenance software and hand-held devices, attending meetings and completing paperwork.RequirementsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with qualified disabilities to perform the essential functions.Technical DutiesUse a PC for communication, parts research, and maintenance system purposes which includes purchasing parts as needed.Demonstrate strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.Follow specific maintenance procedures concerning PM's, schedules and documentation requirements.Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and represent The Krusteaz Company to outside contacts in a professional manner.Climb ladders and lift/push/pull using proper techniques up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally.Work in confined spaces and elevated heights (up to 45 feet) safely.Confront issues by focusing on solutions that satisfy both internal and external customers.Must pass mechanical and electrical aptitude and knowledge test.Education & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent.Food manufacturing experience is desired and a plus.Exposure to PLC, SLC 500/PLC5/RS Logics/Device Net preferred.Exposure to AC and DC motors, VFD and VSD drive experience preferred.Relevant trade or technical school training preferred.CommunicationCommunicate clearly using a variety of media.Must have proven experience in oral and written communication.Experience working collaboratively with contractors and vendors.Characteristics & AttributesWork in a safe manner following plant safety requirements.Safeguard product quality and follows GMP, housekeeping, and food safety guidelines.Manage time efficiently and effectively, self-motivated.Manage multiple tasks and priorities.Develop good working relationships with fellow team members.Ability to work independently and to ensure specific assignments are completed within established time frames.As a member of the operations team, you may be exposed to a variety of physical demands that require you to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds), speak clearly into the radio, climb stairs, exert energy, bend, twist and squat, and use tools and equipment. Employees stand and walk on concrete while wearing steel-toed shoes, uniforms, hair nets, bump caps and safety glasses.The use of company-provided hearing protection is also required in stated areas.
