New Way TrucksIndustrial Painter Primary Purpose: Apply a quality paint job to garbage truck bodies and parts.General Description: Use spray guns to apply paint and primer to all elements of garbage truck bodies and parts.Essential Duties:
- In an efficient manner, use spray guns to apply paint/primer to product producing a quality finish.
- Assist in the preparation process of tacking, masking and drying.
- Clean and maintain paint gun, pot and filtration systems to keep an orderly paint booth.
- Work with the safety department to ensure safe working conditions relative to the painting process.
- Manage waste materials in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and DNR.
- Inspect own work and make corrections if needed. Once finished, complete inspection forms.
- Operate forklift to move around garbage truck assemblies.
Other Duties:
- Work with supervisor to set and maintain weekly paint schedule.
- Clean and maintain an orderly paint storage building
- Be familiar with the painting process and equipment.
- Use excellent painting skills to produce a high gloss and smooth automotive type finish.
- Read and understand technical documents to obtain proper paint mixtures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education: Forklift certification preferred.Experience: 1 year(s) preferred in automotive/industrial painting.1 year(s) preferred in forklift operation.Benefits:
