All procedures and practices used are grounded in standards, regulations and laws addressing occupational safety (OSHA) and food safety and food quality (FDA) in addition to environmental safety (EPA) in accordance with Safe Quality Food (SQF) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). This role reports to the Quality Assurance Supervisor and is based out of our Sparta, Michigan location.Primary Responsibilities include:
- Performs daily, weekly and monthly sanitation task (Master Cleaning Schedule)
- Follow all sanitation safety and food safety guidelines
- Support Production CIP's
- Complete all associated documents related to task per facility document requirements
- Work with chemicals to complete cleaning
- Operate PIT equipment
- Operate Cleaning equipment
- This role will be required to taste test product as needed, up to a couple ounces per test.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEMinimum Required Qualifications
- Must successfully complete and maintain the Lassonde Pappas Forklift Certification.
- Ability to Read and Write
- Work in a safe manner following all PPE requirements.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONSThis position requires sufficient physical ability to work in a production setting.FREQUENT: Ability to talk and hear; ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, stoop, bend and/or crouch; push/pull; lift up to 50 pounds; use of hands and fingers to operate machinery/equipment and all manual and electronic equipment in area of responsibility. Exposure to wet and humid conditions and fluctuations in ambient temperature (seasonal).OCCASIONAL: Squatting, kneeling, ability to reach above and at shoulder height. Ability to wear a dust mask, and perform Confined Entry using LOTO program.
