Job Type Full-time Description We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Industrial Sewing Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. As a Sewing Machine Operator, you will play a crucial role in producing high-quality sewn products. Your expertise in operating industrial sewing machines and your attention to detail will contribute to the efficient and precise execution of our sewing processes. This position requires a strong understanding of sewing techniques, the ability to work with different fabrics and materials, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of craftsmanship. Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Sewing Machine Operation: Operate industrial sewing machines, sergers, and related equipment to sew fabric pieces together according to specified patterns, designs, or instructions.
  • Material Preparation: Prepare fabric, thread, and other materials by cutting, measuring, and aligning them in readiness for sewing.
  • Perform various sewing techniques, such as straight stitching, zigzag stitching, overlocking, and decorative stitching, to assemble fabric components into finished products.
  • Inspect and examine sewn products during and after the sewing process to ensure they meet quality standards. Identify and address any defects, irregularities, or inconsistencies.
  • Perform routine maintenance on sewing machines, including cleaning, oiling, and minor adjustments. Notify supervisors or maintenance personnel of any significant equipment issues.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of sewing tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area by properly storing tools, materials, and finished products. Dispose of waste materials appropriately.
  • Work efficiently to meet daily production quotas and deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality.
  • Other duties as assigned
Subject to applicable laws and Vita Inclinata's policies, regular attendance is an essential function of the position. All employees must follow Vita Inclinatas' employment practices and policies. Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Requirements Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 3 to 5 years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Prior experience with sewing machines, hot cutters, and presses required.
  • Read sawing plans/instructions, mark out and cut materials as needed.
  • Experience in a regulated environment, such as ISO 9001

Compensation In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the compensation for this role is $20.00 - $30.00 per hour, however, Vita Inclinata Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
