Industrial Training CoordinatorJob Summary:The Industrial Training Coordinator schedules, develops, and teaches non-credit industrial training courses. The Coordinator develops and coordinates pre-employment training to attract unemployed or underemployed individuals looking to reenter the workforce in a manufacturing occupation. The remaining portion of the position will be coordinating and instructing other industrial trainings needed as identified by the college or requested by regional employers, such as OSHA-10, OSHA-30, BOOT Camp 1 & 2, and HAZWOPER trainings. This is a full-time, 12-month position, which is 35% grant funded. Typical schedule is 8:00 - 5:30 Monday through Thursday and 8:00 - 12:00 on Friday; however, schedule may adjust to provide evening and/or weekend classes. This position is governed by state and federal laws and institution policy. Salary range of $38,000-$42,000 to commensurate with education and experience. Plus, excellent benefit package.Supervisory Responsibilities:N/ADuties and Responsibilities:Recruitment •Recruit unemployed or underemployed individuals into appropriate non-credit or credit training programs. •Collaborate with credit and non-credit instructors in the development of new traditional and distance learning course offerings •Promote non-credit workforce trainings at local employers, high schools, and employment events as needed. Program Development •Collaborate with regional employers to identify or develop trainings as needed by the manufacturing facilities. •Cultivate, develop, and maintain relationships with industry partners Training Coordination •Coordinate the scheduling of training sessions to include scheduling, communicating with participants and other stakeholders. •Train individuals in safety and operational procedures for the modern manufacturing environment. •Assess student learning, present statistical data, research findings, and recommend appropriate action to institutional stakeholders. Participant Management •Evaluate student performance; establish student performance requirements and development targets; monitor student performance and provide coaching for student performance improvement and development •Collaborate with resource partners who can help students fund their education. Compliance and Documentation •Coordinate paperwork collection, registration, attendance tracking, and reporting of non-credit workforce students. •Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards regarding industrial training programs. Other Duties •Serve as the backup instructor for C-STOP (Contractor Safety Training) classes as needed. •Serve on institutional committees as assigned •Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director Skills and Abilities:•Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. •Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with diverse stakeholders. •Excellent computer skills to include Microsoft Office and other relevant tools •Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently with minimal supervision. •Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality training solutions that align with organizational objectives. Required Education and Experience:•Minimum of three years industrial experience including time spent training individuals in related industrial techniques and procedures. •Associate's degree in a relevant field.Preferred Education and Experience:•Five years of relevant industrial experience preferred. •Bachelor's degree in relevant field. Physical Requirements:Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time and be able to lift at least 10 pounds.
