Sign-on bonus up to $1200.00!!!CSR's Early Care and Education Center is licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care (DEEC). The Center provides children with comprehensive and coordinated activities that are centered around several critical elements: safety and supervision; the creation of an environment that promotes physical, cognitive, social, and emotional growth through play; preparing each child for school readiness; and providing early learning opportunities through a developmental, age-appropriate curriculum. Assisting and guiding each child to develop as fully as possible, is at the very heart of our programsThe Lead Teacher is responsible for the administration of classroom management, staff management, and program development. The Lead Teacher works in conjunction with the Senior Lead Teacher and Center Director to ensure high quality child care. The Lead Teacher will share the responsibilities of educational goals, classroom activities, creation of new projects and programs, licensing requirements with the Senior Lead Teacher. Specific Responsibilities:1. Develop, implement and maintain classroom curriculum and educational activities.2. Responsible for educational supervision, including activity center, lesson plans, daily activities, children's competency forms, staff evaluations and scheduling parent conferences.3. In conjunction with other classroom staff, write up appropriate progress reports of the children and report on them at monthly staff meetings.4. Supervise and evaluate classroom staff according job description.5. Coordinate with Senior Lead Teacher in training information, classroom observations, and children evaluations.6. Provide direction and technical assistance to teaching staff, student interns and volunteers in order to foster professional development and enable staff to effectively carry out programs goals and objectives.Qualifications, Skills and Experience: Must have an Associates (and/or enrolled in Bachelor Degree program in Early Childhood and/or Special Education) or Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education or related fields. Lead Teacher must have Infant, Toddler or Preschool Certification with E.E.C. Must have a strong commitment to the children and families involved with the program and be willing to ensure that every child enrolled has his/her needs met. Must have knowledge in conducting need assessments. Demonstrate ability to work with culturally and/or linguistically diverse populations.
