About Early Connections Institute (ECI): Early Connections Institute (ECI) is a small group therapy practice which specializes in mental health treatment for women, children and families. Our goal at ECI is to offer a unique expertise and mental health treatment for mothers, fathers and caregivers in all stages of parenthood as well as children and families of all ages and backgrounds. At ECI we are devoted to using evidence from Infant Mental Health, attachment theory, play therapy, child development as well as trauma informed care to create strong foundations of support designed to grow with individuals, parents and families.

Position Overview:We are excited to announce an opening for a therapist to join our specialized practice. As a member of our supportive team, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with colleagues who share a passion for helping women, children, and families. Our focus areas include providing mental health treatment for children of all ages, utilizing Infant Mental Health-informed therapy, play therapy, and dyadic work with caregivers and children through a relational and trauma-informed lens. We also provide services for perinatal and reproductive mental health, addressing perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, infertility, grief and loss, attachment and bonding concerns, and parenting support.

Ideal candidates will have a background and/or certification in Infant Mental Health, maternal mental health, play therapy and/or women's issues. We are seeking new and/or established professionals who are wanting to find professional growth and stability in private practice without having to worry about the business side of things.

Job responsibilities:

  • Provide effective and supportive psychotherapy for women, children and families
  • Appropriately diagnose, monitor, develop and implement treatment plans for various mental health disorders using an attachment, relational, trauma informed and evidence based framework
  • Integrate concepts and stay up to date on evidence based treatment for area of expertise
  • Refer clients to outside specialists or agencies when necessary
  • Maintain timely and thorough records of client meetings and progress in accordance with health insurance requirements
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain client confidentiality abiding by HIPAA laws
  • Ability to commit to a minimum of 15+ client hours per week

Pay: $70,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year

​Qualifications:

  • Must have current active mental health license in the state of Michigan
  • Accepted licenses: LMSW, LPC, PhD, PsyD or LMFT
  • Minimum of 1 to 2 years direct clinical experience (post-graduate) preferably working in at least one area of expertise
  • Strong clinical and assessment skills
  • Ability to work autonomously within supportive team environment
