Essential Job Duties:
The Infection Control/Certified Wound RN is crucial for monitoring the quality of resident care related to infection risks. Primary responsibilities include:
- Collecting, interpreting, and sharing infection-related data, offering actionable insights to improve patient care.
- Overseeing staff adherence to infection prevention protocols and appropriate protective use.
- Conducting informative training sessions for staff on infection control strategies.
- Serving as a key resource for various departments, providing valuable advice on infection control and wound management.
- Implementing protective programs to ensure the safety of healthcare workers, residents, and visitors.
- Recommending and establishing policies to mitigate adverse events.
- Ensuring compliance with infection control regulations and best practices.
- Facilitating internal and external reporting of infection data while promoting organizational compliance with standards.

Candidate Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Must hold a current Registered Nurse license in Wisconsin
- Preferred background in Infection Control
