Salary: Up to $85k per year
Job Responsibilities:
- Evaluate the quality of resident care and outcomes related to healthcare-associated infections.
- Collect, analyze, and present infection data, providing actionable recommendations.
- Monitor staff compliance with infection prevention measures and proper use of protective barriers.
- Develop and deliver educational programs for staff on infection control practices.
- Serve as a resource for all departments and staff regarding infection prevention.
- Implement programs to protect healthcare workers, visitors, and others within the facility.
- Establish and recommend policies and procedures to prevent adverse events.
- Ensure timely internal and external reporting of infection-related data.
- Promote compliance with regulations, guidelines, and accreditation standards.
Requirements:
Education: Associate s Degree from an accredited School of Nursing. Registered Nurse currently licensed in the state of Iowa.
Experience: Long-term care experience preferred. Currently certified in CPR. Completion of a basic training program for Infection Control Certification in Infection Control is desired. Ability to develop policies and procedures. Ability to teach and evaluate clinical performance.
