Salary: Up to $85,000 per year
Key Responsibilities
As our Infection Control Preventionist, you will:
- Evaluate resident care and outcomes related to healthcare-associated infections.
- Collect, analyze, and present infection data, offering actionable recommendations.
- Ensure staff compliance with infection prevention practices and protective measures.
- Develop and lead educational programs for staff on infection control.
- Serve as a trusted resource for all departments on infection prevention.
- Implement programs to safeguard residents, staff, and visitors.
- Establish policies and procedures to minimize risks and adverse events.
- Oversee timely reporting of infection-related data to appropriate channels.
- Maintain compliance with regulations, guidelines, and accreditation standards.
What You ll Need
Education:
- Associate s Degree from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Active Registered Nurse license in Iowa.
Experience & Certifications:
- Prior experience in long-term care (preferred).
- Current CPR certification.
- Completion of basic training for Infection Control Certification (desired).
- Strong ability to develop policies, teach, and evaluate clinical performance.
