Description

Starting in northeast Rochester, NY, Jordan Health has since expanded to become a network of primary care offices and health centers serving residents living in three quadrants ofRochester, NY ( and in Canandaigua, N.Y.

Jordan Health is now seeking anInfection Prevention Coordinatorwho, under the guidance of the Director of Nursing, is primarily responsible for the overall direction, management, and coordination of the Infection Prevention program at Jordan Health. Educate Staff, collaborates with clinicians, and ensures infection prevention policies and protocols are up-to-date and maintained. Maintains compliance with NYSDOH Wadsworth Center guidelines and infection prevention program standards that meet CDC, OSHA, Joint Commission, APIC, and other local/state health department requirements.

Requirements

TheInfection Prevention Coordinatorwill ensure that:

An environment which promotes patient and staff safety is fostered.

Collaboration with interdisciplinary team such as clinicians, managers, supervisors, administrators, and other professional/paraprofessional staff members is implemented.

Surveillance and compliance activities are completed.

Professional excellence is achieved.

Education And Experience Required:

Graduate of accredited school of nursing required, BSN preferred.

3 years of nursing experience required.

At least 1 year of experience in infection prevention preferred OR coursework (example: CIC, APIC ICE 101). CIC Certificate preferred, but not required.

Licenses And Certifications:

Current NYS RN License without any negative actions.

Current provider BLS/CPR through the American Heart Association.

Infection Control Certification.

Special Skills, Knowledge Required:

Must be proficient in:

MS Office Applications (Word, Access, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)

eClinicalWorks or other electronic health record systempreferred
