Infection Preventionist

Whitney Rehabilitation Care Center is looking for an infection preventionist to join our wonderful team!

Shift: Full Time (40 Hour/Week)

Qualifications:

Qualifications of Infection Preventionist:

  • Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
  • 1 year experience and certified in infection control.
  • Must be vaccinated for COVID 19.
Responsibilities:

Duties and Responsibilities for Infection Preventionist:

  • The Infection Prevention Nurse plays a critical role in preventing and identifying the spread of infectious agents, including bacteria and viruses, within the facility.
  • Key responsibilities include:
  • Collecting, analyzing, and providing infection data and trends to nursing staff and healthcare practitioners.
  • Consulting on infection risk assessment, prevention, and control strategies.
  • Providing education and training on infection control practices.
  • Implementing evidence-based infection control practices.
  • Promoting, encouraging, and enforcing infection control measures throughout the organization.
  • Tracking and communicating reporting measures as required.
  • Planning, organizing, developing, and directing all in-service educational programs within the facility.
