It provides full spectrum infectious disease care for a 1,200 bed referral center with our unique model of 8 inpatient clinical services and our outpatient department. Members of the department pursue specialty interests including solid organ transplant / BMT, bone and joint infections, neurological infections, care of the patient with HIV, granulomatous infections, and endocarditis and infected cardiac devices. The department also has an academic mission with our fellowship program and our support of resident graduate medical education not only for internal medicine but other disciplines.
