Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.Responsibilities:Gathers information, analyzes and interprets data, disseminates information; helps formulate goals, protocols and information gathering methods.Responsibilities GENERAL PURPOSE: Responsible for generating and analyzing nursing performance measures in support of monthly financial statements. Assist with overall nursing budget presentation in conjunction with Director of Finance Nursing Practice and Sr. Financial Analyst. Point of contact for agency billing and issues. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the general direction of the Director of Finance Nursing Practice SMH with supervision by Sr. Financial Analyst - Nursing, conforming to URMC policies but retaining latitude for independent judgment and initiative: - Prepare and analyze nursing reports to review FTE and salary variances to operating budget on a monthly basis. Work with nursing management on action plans. - Set up financial workshops to review monthly finance deliverables with nurse management as needed, including variance reporting resources and process for reconciling high risk ledger transactions as identified by the Office of Internal Audit. - Point of contact for agency usage tracking, billing, and issues as needed. Maintains purchase orders and submits receipts for agency invoices. - Generate and analyze nursing performance reports including cost per patient day, nursing care hours per patient day, and occupancy by unit. - Reports monthly/quarterly/annual financial information to various internal and external audiences (HANYS, DASNY, COTH, DDCT, NDNQI, and other various external/internal reports as requested). - Assist in preparation of Nursing Practice operating budget under general direction of Director of Finance and Sr. Financial Analyst. - Generate ad hoc financial reports especially during the operating budget season. - Assist in the preparation of business plans for nursing units. - Other duties as described by Director of Finance and Sr. Financial Analyst.
