Position Overview: The Information Assurance II position is responsible for providing comprehensive support in cybersecurity authorization activities and ensuring compliance with DoD and Army cybersecurity policies. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes, support test events, and oversee certification and accreditation efforts. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Information Assurance (IA) architecture support, including certification and accreditation (C&A) processes and assisting with security scans and test events.
- Support the design, development, and implementation of IA solutions in key areas, including identity and access management, cyber situational awareness, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), and defensive cyber infrastructure and operations.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure system designs comply with Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements, meeting Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) provisions and DoD and Army cybersecurity regulations.
- Develop and prepare documentation required for network Authorization Officials (AOs) to approve Authority to Operate (ATO) for networks and systems.
- Conduct cybersecurity monitoring, provide compliance reports, and maintain and update Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) documents according to RMF A&A continuous monitoring processes.
- Oversee and contribute to the development of strategies ensuring the operational readiness of IA systems, collaborating with relevant stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of working experience in DoD cybersecurity authorization or cybersecurity engineering activities.
- Demonstrated experience with DoD and Army cybersecurity policies, regulations, and authorization processes.
- CISSP, CISM, CAP, CeH, or equivalent certifications.
- Experience planning and executing test events for cybersecurity compliance.
- Familiarity with RMF subsystems and cybersecurity monitoring processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in IA tools, security scanning technologies, and RMF documentation processes.
- Experience developing and maintaining POA&M documents.
- In-depth understanding of FISMA compliance requirements.
